- Conduct full walk-around inspection of forklift structure and body panels
- Check fluid levels for engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and brake fluid
- Inspect tires, rims, and wheel assemblies for wear and damage
- Examine all fasteners and weld points for looseness or cracking
- Document all visual findings and required corrective actions
Engine and Exhaust System Inspection
- Perform oil change and replace engine oil filter
- Check coolant condition, flush and refill if necessary
- Replace air filter element and inspect intake system
- Inspect exhaust system for leaks, cracks, or loose connections
- Evaluate engine idle, sound, and performance under load
Hydraulic System Testing
- Inspect hydraulic hoses for wear, leaks, and secure connections
- Test hydraulic lift, tilt, and side-shift operations for smoothness
- Check mast chains and cylinders for lubrication and proper tension
- Replace hydraulic filter and analyze fluid condition
- Document system pressures and any abnormal operational issues
Brake System Evaluation
- Test service and parking brake functionality under various loads
- Inspect brake pads, discs, and drums for wear and damage
- Flush and replace brake fluid if needed
- Inspect brake lines for leaks and proper routing
- Verify emergency stop devices and alarms work correctly
Electrical & Battery Maintenance
- Clean battery terminals and apply corrosion inhibitors
- Perform battery load test and verify charging system output
- Inspect wiring harnesses for wear, chafing, or loose connections
- Test all lighting, warning devices, and operational gauges
- Ensure battery compartment covers and mounts are secure
