Safety Systems & Control Verification
- Test horn, lights, backup alarm, and warning systems
- Verify emergency stop and brake systems
- Check seatbelt and restraint system functionality
- Ensure overhead guard and load backrest integrity
- Test safety interlocks and travel limit switches
Operational Testing
- Start electric motor and check for smooth operation
- Test steering responsiveness in both directions
- Operate forward and reverse driving functions
- Test all lift controls and dashboard indicators
- Observe performance under simulated load conditions
Documentation & Compliance Confirmation
- Complete and sign daily inspection log
- Document any defects and report immediately
- Ensure inspection record is filed as per OSHA regulations
- Tag forklift "Out of Service" if critical issues are found
- Review prior inspection history for repeat issues
