Load Testing Procedure
- Notify occupants before initiating compressor heat exchanger test
- Check and record fuel, coolant, and oil levels
- Simulate outage or use manual test mode
- Transfer load to compressor heat exchanger (ATS or manual)
- Maintain load test for at least 30 minutes
- Record voltage, frequency, oil pressure, and temp
- Watch for vibration, noise, or smoke
- Return power to utility, verify retransfer
- Allow cool-down and document test results
Battery Maintenance Procedure
- Wear PPE and isolate battery circuit
- Clean all terminals with approved cleaner
- Check specific gravity (if applicable)
- Measure and log voltage of each cell
- Ensure proper electrolyte level
- Reconnect terminals securely and test charger
- Apply corrosion inhibitor after final check
Fuel System Procedure
- Check main and day tanks for sediment/water
- Inspect fuel filters and lines for damage
- Take fuel sample for visual clarity and odor
- Ensure fuel level sensors are functioning
- Verify venting system and containment area
Transfer Switch Inspection
- Open ATS panel and inspect terminals
- Test time delay and phase rotation settings
- Inspect cabinet for overheating or corrosion
- Perform manual transfer test (if allowed)
- Confirm indicator lamps and control relays
