- Check hose retraction mechanism for smooth winding
- Ensure hose winds evenly and securely onto reel
Flow & Pressure Test
- Ensure drain access or collection tank is in place
- Open valve gradually, allow water to flow for 30 seconds
- Monitor for stable pressure and consistent spray pattern
- Check for any visible leaks or unusual vibrations
Valve & Control Check
- Inspect valve handles for damage and accessibility
- Test full open and close operation of valve
- Ensure valve operation requires no excessive force
- Lubricate valve parts as required, per manufacturer spec
Documentation & Label Review
- Verify inspection tag is filled with current date
- Check legibility of instruction placards and operating signs
- Ensure asset ID or equipment tag is visible and accurate
- Photograph inspection results for recordkeeping
