Hangcha XC50 Diesel Forklift – Daily Inspection Procedure
Follow these steps daily to ensure OSHA compliance, equipment reliability, and peak operational safety.
Pre-Shift Walkaround Inspection
- Check for visible damage, fluid leaks, and structural issues
- Ensure tires are inflated properly and free from damage
- Verify overhead guard and seatbelt integrity
- Confirm load backrest is secure and undamaged
Fluid Level & Leak Check
- Check engine oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluid levels
- Inspect for fuel leaks and ensure diesel cap is sealed
- Verify brake fluid and transmission levels (if separate)
- Look underneath forklift for signs of fresh leaks
Forks & Mast System
- Inspect forks for cracks, bends, or wear at heel
- Ensure locking pins are intact and secure
- Lubricate mast chains and verify even tension
- Check hydraulic cylinders for leaks and performance
Operational & Safety Controls
- Start engine and check for excessive smoke or noise
- Test all lights, horn, backup alarm, and gauges
- Operate lift, tilt, and side-shift for smooth function
- Verify brakes and steering for responsiveness
Documentation & OSHA Compliance
- Record inspection findings in daily forklift log
- Report safety-critical defects immediately
- Ensure operator certification is valid and filed
- Tag out equipment if any unsafe condition is found
