- Walk-around inspection of forklift structure, frame, forks, and mast
- Review monthly run hours, incident logs, and maintenance logs
- Verify operator certifications and OSHA training
- Check decals and labels for visibility and accuracy
2. Diesel Engine & Exhaust Review
- Start engine and observe noise, vibration, and smoke levels
- Check oil and fuel filters; inspect fuel tank and lines
- Inspect radiator, coolant, and hoses for leaks or low levels
- Test air intake and exhaust systems under load
3. Hydraulics & Load Management
- Test lift, tilt, and side-shift functions fully loaded
- Inspect cylinders, lines, connectors, and reservoir fluid
- Check mast chains for alignment and lubrication
- Review 35-ton capacity performance and response
4. Brake & Safety Equipment
- Test parking and service brake performance
- Check seatbelt, operator guard, and fire extinguisher
- Ensure emergency stop switch, horn, and lights are functional
- Verify audible/visual warnings and capacity plate
5. Battery & Electrical
- Inspect battery for corrosion, secure terminals, voltage level
- Test indicator lights, reverse alarms, wiring harness
- Check fuse integrity and dashboard error codes
6. Monthly Report & Review
- Record all test outcomes and fluid levels
- Log performance notes and schedule maintenance needs
- Document OSHA/ISO compliance status and deviations
- Share report with supervisor for review and fleet planning
