Pre-Inspection Requirements
- Review assigned room number and guest checkout confirmation
- Wear PPE and bring necessary inspection tools and checklist
- Knock and announce entry; ensure room is vacant
- Turn on lights and ventilate room before beginning
General Cleanliness & Setup
- Inspect bed for proper linen, pillow placement, and tuck-in
- Wipe all surfaces including tables, remotes, and switches
- Dust and polish mirrors, artwork, and visible fixtures
- Replace used amenities and supplies appropriately
Bathroom SOP
- Disinfect toilet, sink, and bathing areas using standard chemicals
- Check soap, tissue, and towel inventory
- Ensure drain and water fixtures function properly
- Wipe dry all counters and polish chrome surfaces
Safety & Amenities Review
- Verify smoke detectors and emergency lights
- Inspect minibar, room service guides, and television functionality
- Check AC/Heater response and display unit
- Place sanitized seal or notice as per property standards
Final Documentation
- Sign the checklist after verifying all items are in order
- Take before/after photos if required by policy
- Notify front desk or supervisor of room readiness
- Log any maintenance issues into the CMMS system
