Route Assignment
Technician opens OxMaint mobile and sees their assigned lube routes for the shift — sorted by area, estimated time, and priority. Critical A asset routes are highlighted and appear at the top. Offline mode downloads route data before entering connectivity-poor areas like kiln basement or mill ground floor.
Point-by-Point Guidance
Each lube point displays asset name, location description, lubricant specification, quantity required, method (grease gun, oil can, or centralized system check), and a photo of the point location. The technician cannot skip a point without either completing it or flagging it as an issue — there is no "mark all complete" shortcut.
Quantity and Condition Entry
Technician enters actual quantity applied (grease gun strokes or volume in ml/litres), selects bearing condition from a standardized scale (Normal, Warm, Hot, Noisy, Leaking, Blocked nipple), and optionally captures a photo if condition is anything other than Normal. Readings are logged in the work order with timestamp and technician ID.
Issue Flagging and Work Order Generation
When a technician selects "Blocked nipple," "Leaking seal," or "Hot bearing," OxMaint immediately generates a corrective work order linked to that specific lube point and asset, assigns it to the maintenance supervisor for review, and records the flag in the route completion record. The route continues — the flag does not stop the technician from finishing.
Route Completion and Supervisor Report
When the route is complete, OxMaint generates a completion summary showing all points serviced, quantities applied, issues flagged, and any points marked as inaccessible. The summary is automatically sent to the shift supervisor and logged against the asset maintenance history. Lubricant consumption is totalled for inventory management.
